SWITZERLAND TRIP
RHINE WATERFALLS, LUCERNE & ZURICH
Studifahrten is again taking you to a perfect place, you have never been before! We are going to Zurich, Lucerne and to Rhine Waterfall (Europe's largest waterfall). It is again a one day trip to keep the costs low, since the hostels in Zurich are really expensive. But we have made again the most efficient trip schedule for you.
Rhine Waterfalls
Our first stop is Rheine Waterfalls. We’ll watch the sunrise here. Europe’s biggest waterfall is 150 meters wide and the water from Lake Constance drops a full 23 meters as it plunges into the depths below. We are sure that you will fall in love with the view!
Lucerne
Our second stop is Lucerne. Lucerne is embedded within an impressive mountainous panorama and located in the hearth of Switzerland. Thanks to its attractions, its souvenir and watch shops and the beautiful lakeside setting the town is an amazing destination for many travel lovers. You should firstly visit “The Chapel Bridge” which is a landmark of Lucerne, is said to be the oldest wooden bridge of Europe. The Bridge is made fully with wood and was built in 14th century as a protection for the city. Our other recommendations for you; The Lion Monument, The KKL (Kunst- und Kongresshaus Luzern), Jesuit Church, Weinmarkt Square and for the shooping Pilatusstrasse which is in the newer part of Lucerne is the place to start your shopping spree.
Zurich
Our last destination is Switzerland's largest city Zurich which is well known as the country's economic and cultural Center and one of Europe's main financial and industrial capitals. The most important sights such as the Old Town, Bahnhofstrasse, Grossmünster Church and Lake Zurich are all based in Zurich’s town Center. They are all reached within a three-hour walk or can be accessed by public transport. The Shopping Street, Bahnhofstraße is one of the most elegant shopping streets in the world with 1.4 km length and has a lot of Hotels, Boutiques and Shops.
Culture lovers will enjoy a visit to the museum, Opera House, Schauspielhaus (Municipal Theater) or Tonhalle (concert hall). Nature fans can visit the zoo or take a boat cruise on the Lake Zurich. You can also have a rest in Lindenhof with the beautiful city view.
Please don't forget your camera for this amazing trip and prepare for some sandwich because as you know Zurich is the one of most expensive cities in Europe. Surely, you can try some traditional desserts like Zuger Kirschtorte, or some snacks like Cheese fondue or Rösti.
