ITALY
We have prepared you 4 different trips. 2 of them are going to Italy! This one includes Rome & Verona, the other Italy trip includes Milano & Como. In both trips we have Pisa, Florence and Venice. We hope it will not be confusing! Please bear in mind that this trip requires more travelling tome on the bus compared to other Italy trip.
Venice
Take a time and imagine a city of 118 islands threaded by 180 canals, these watery roads lined by Gothic-filigree palazzi, spanned by 409 little footbridges, and plied by fleets of crooked-nose, coffin-black gondolas. Now, picture a tangle of ancient alleys, the houses often no more than shoulder-width apart, connecting countless pocket-sized squares, each anchored by a church filled with Titans or a museum stuffed with Renaissance or modernart.
Venice island is divided in about 8 neighbourhoods, but the bestthing of Venice is to get lost and enjoy the adventure. Just be aware or set yourself an alarm on your phone to remind you that it is time to head to ourmeeting point, as from our experience we know that this adventure can make youlose the track of time.
Venice? Cold, uncrowded… and magical! With Venice’s already-gorgeous canals, piazzas and ornate architecture lit up with Italian decorations, the streetsless crowded than in the height of the tourist season, and locals doing their shopping, the holidays make for a fantastic time to visit.
The magical citygets, well, even more magical during the trip! You’ll find lightsand gorgeous decorations all over Venice, even on the gondolas. Festive songsare sung at special concerts in churches and piazzas, and church bells are rung all day from the famous bell tower at St. Mark’s.
Florence & Pisa
On our second day our first stop will be Pisa! Visit to Pisa is included in our trip fee! The reality is that apart from the tower, there is very little to see in Pisa (compared to nearby Florence) and the main tourist area can betrodden on foot in under an hour. However, don’t let that confuse you into thinking that there’s nothing to see or do in Pisa – there really is. Leaning Tower of Pisa is one of Italy’s most iconic symbols. The Leaning Tower of Pisa took 344 years to build, beginning in August 1173. The tower started to lean during construction because the foundation was built on softground that had difficulty supporting the weight.
After we have seen enough from Pisa, we will head to Florence with our buses. Florence, which is as rich in history as it is in culture, is a city of breathtaking beauty. Its charming streets, stunning architecture, and world-class art make it a true gem of Italy.
Rome & Vatican
On the third day we will visit Rome & Vatican! The Colosseum is more impressive than any football stadium you've ever seen, AND it's 2000 years old. No need te explain here about Rome in long. It´s the city of history! Vatican City is the world's smallest independentinternational state, a walled-off enclave within Rome. It's home to 842 people, the Sistine Chapel, and St Peter's Basilica. The government type of the Vatican City is monarchical-sacerdotal. It is headed by the Pope of the Roman Catholic Church, who is elected for life by the cardinals.
Verona
On our last day we will check out from our Hotel and visit Verona for a few hours. Verona is a city in northern Italy’s Veneto region, with a medieval old town built between the meandering Adige River. It’s famous for being the setting of Shakespeare’s "Romeo and Juliet." A 14th-century residence with a tiny balcony overlooking a courtyard is said be “Juliet’s House."
The Verona Arena is a huge 1st-century Roman amphitheatre, which currently hosts concerts and large-scale opera performances. After everyone falls in love with their partners again under the balcony of Rome and Juliet, we will start our journey back!
