3 CAPITALS TRIP
Vienna, Budapest & Bratislava
For this trip we have a age restriction of 18-45 years old as we are staying at a hostel in Budapest. Please do not book the trip if the travellers are above or under the age limit.
Vienna
The first stop of our 3 Capitals trip is Vienna, which is known worldwide as one of the greatest cultural experiences in Europe. The capital city of Austria has a rich history and was once home to some of the greatest artists and musical composers of all time.
When we arrive in Vienna you will have a walking tour of 1,5 hours in Vienna with professional local tour guides and after this tour you will have enough free time to explore this unforgettable city. In your free time you can start at the Naschmarkt where you will find a variety of restaurants and vendors selling produce, meats, and fresh baked breads.
You also can visit St. Stephens Cathedral and Mozart’s House. This is where the esteemed composer lived and produced some of his most famous masterpieces. After visiting Mozart’s House, head toward Hofburg Palace. On the way, pause and appreciate the Plague Pillar. In the late 1600’s, Emperor Leopold vowed to build a pillar of gratitude to God if he would spare Vienna and end the plague that was killing so many people. There is so much detail in this piece of public art, and it really does tell the story perfectly.
Another quick stop on the way to the palace is St. Peter's Catholic church. The Volksgarten would be a great afternoon break. Lastly do not miss the visit Rathausplatz which is the beautiful neo-Gothic city hall.
Budapest
Our next stop will be Budapest which is the capital and the most populous city of Hungary. Budapest has it all: castles, palaces, parks, and some of the best Art Nouveau architecture in Europe. Budapest is really two cities in one—Buda and Pest—separated by the Danube River and linked by a number of bridges. The stunning architecture along the central stretch of the capital is some of the best in Europe, like the Széchenyi Chain Bridge and Opera House. And, of course, here's no view quite as iconic as the Hungarian Parliament reflected in the Danube.
With our bus we will visit together Heroes' Square, Citadella and the Castle Hill. After that our walking tour starts and we will see more from Castle Hill, Fisherman's Bastion, Hungarian Parliament, Matthias Church. You must see also St. Stephen's Basilica and Café Gerbeaud.
Bratislava
Our last stop is the capital of Slovakia Bratislava and there you will have 5-6 hours. But time is definitely enough for Bratislava since it is a small city. You should see Old Town Hall, Bratislava Castle, St. Martin's Cathedral, Primate's Palace, Michael's Gate.
