Trip itinerary

 

Day 1

​Departures

​

We will start in the afternoon from Germany to La Spezia!

​

Day 2

La Spezia

​

Early in the morning we will arrive to La Spezia, which is the nearest city to Cinque Terre. Here we will jump on a train to the 5 towns. Each town is around 10 minutes away from each other.

​

The Cinque Terre is a string of centuries-old seaside villages on the rugged Italian Riviera coastline. In each of the 5 towns, colourful houses and ancient vineyards cling to steep terraces, fishing boats bob in harbours and trattorias turn out seafood specialties along with the Liguria region’s famous sauce, pesto. It looks like the heaven on the earth.

Manarola, which is the favourite of most visitors,  is the oldest and the second smallest of the towns in the Cinque Terre, with the cornerstone of the church, San Lorenzo, dating from 1338. On the west end, there is a little harbour and on the east side lies the San Lorenzo church and a square where the townsmen meet for various activities. And as most of Cinque Terre, there are vineyards everywhere.

In the Afternoon we will get back to our bus and head to Rome, check in to our hostel and enjoy a good sleep.

Day 3

Rome

​

We wake up in Rome, finish our breakfast and jump on our bus for a sightseeing tour in Rome.

​

The famous amphitheatre and reflect on the incredible architecture from 72 AD. The Colosseum is more impressive than any football stadium you've ever seen, AND it's 2000 years old. Vatican City is the world's smallest independent international state, a walled-off enclave within Rome. It's home to 842 people, the Sistine Chapel, and St Peter's Basilica. The government type of the Vatican City is monarchical-sacerdotal. It is headed by the Pope of the Roman Catholic Church, who is elected for life by the cardinals. St. Peter’s Basilica is the largest Catholic church in the world. In case anyone wishes to refute this fact, the Church has actually placed the measurements of the largest churches in the world in the marble of the Nave to prove that all other basilicas are able to fit within the Basilica.

Day 4

Napoli (Naples)

​

After the breakfast we will start our Journey to Napoli!

​

It's also one of the most amazing cities in Italy. Here we will have the chance to see the Basilica of St Francesco di Paola and the Royal Palace of Naples, one of the four residences used by the Bourbon Kings.

Then we will walk to the Teatro di San Carlo, the oldest opera house in Europe. From there, we will jump to  the Galleria Umberto I, an impressively-sized shopping gallery dating back to the 19th century.

As we will be heading to Castel Nuovo we will pass St James's Palace, one of the city’s most significant landmarks in Piazza Municipio. Constructed in the 13th century, learn about the medieval castle's expansion from your guide as you admire the exterior. Then we will reach the historic centre of Naples.

After a few hours of history, culture and sightseeing, we will take a rest at the local cafés in Piazza San Gaetano and go back to our Hostel in Rome.

Day 5

 

On the last day we will have our last breakfast and head to Siena. Here we will have not have much time, it will be only 3 hours just to roam around and see one more beautiful city and go back to Germany. We have a long ride in front of us.

​Day 6

Arrival back to our homes in the morning.

​
